The Legend of Pitcher Vance

How awesome was that game yesterday? The only thing hotter than the Phils’ bats last night was the 102 degree field temp. Ubaldo Jimenez continues his plummet to earth with the second shortest outting of his career. Jimenez continues to be the Phillies’ bitch with a 0-3 record and a 10.35 ERA at the Bank. (for those who don’t know what an ERA is, 10.53 is terrible and that’s all you really need to know).

Vance Worley made his big league debut and looked impressive. So impressive that the Phillies demoted him to the IronPigs (probably while he still throwing warmup pitches) so J.A. Happ could come back to the team. Amaro continues to hold on to David Herndon and Danys Baez for some reason, but I can only hope that they give Vance another a chance (Yes, I realize that’s a lame rhyme but I don’t care).
