It is quite the tongue twister. Namco Bandai has released a new trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 at Tokyo Game Show. The trailer features tag gameplay in hard-hitting, multidirectional Tekken fashion.
It has been nearly a decade since the last Tekken Tag title. The original was a launch title for the PS2. So yeah… Tekken fans have been aching for this announcement for quite awhile now.
A vague Summer 2011 release window was shown in the trailer for Japan. Whether or not its an arcade release or home release has yet to be seen. Currently, TTT2 (heh) has no release date for all other regions. Sad face 😦
After months and months of speculation, it has finally been confirmed that developer Ninja Theory has indeed been working on a Devil May Cry game. However, it doesn’t seem like a continuation of the series that Capcom has been putting out.
In a recently released trailer, the main protagonist has very little resemblance to Dante of old’s signature white hair, red trench coat, and large sword. In fact THIS Dante is the total opposite. He bares black hair and carries a whip/staff/spear of some kind. Trust me… I’m just as perplexed as you are. It seems like a DMC title set in an alternate universe, more or less.
Dante’s successor still possesses the excessive (unnecessary?) coolness factor fans of the series have grown accustomed to. The dual-fisted gunplay still has a presence in the series’ reboot… but will die-hard fans take a shine to the new coat of paint? We’ll have to see in due time. No release date has been set as of yet. Check out the trailer here.
Capcom has released a new trailer for its hyper kinetic 2D brawler (It’s still polygonal, don’t panic). While there is NO gameplay whatsoever, it is every geek’s wet dream. It’s like if you got Stan Lee to wrap himself up in a Japanese flag and shipped him off to Capcom. Yes… there’s not even a second of gameplay, but…. LOOK AT ALL THESE CHARACTERS!!!
Did you see that near perfect lariat that Gaby Sanchez landed on Nyjer Morgan last night during the Marlins/Nats game?
I was rather impressed with Sanchez’s technique but Morgan totally no-sold the move. By the way, it’s not a clothesline because Sanchez wrapped his arm around Morgan’s neck and drove him to the ground. I only know that because I am a total Wrestling Mark.
