Oh EA… why do you tease us so? The cruel and talented folks from Dice just released some new multiplayer footage for the dangerously anticipated Battlefield 3. The trailer premiered right alongside GamesCom and doesn’t lack any extent of ammunition, explosions, or sheer awesomeness. It doesn’t make the Battlefield 3’s October 25th release date feel any closer, but it helps maybe a little. Check out the new gameplay trailer below!
EA has just released the launch trailer for the upcoming sequel to American McGee’s twisted take on Alice in Wonderland. Alice: Madness Returns finds the title character back in the morbid world of Wonderland. Alice is coming to grips with her insanity as she fights to preserve the very world that haunts her. The original was a cult classic with a very distinct art style and the new one certainly looks to continue that trend. Alice: Madness Returns is just around the corner with a June 14th (that’s THIS month) release date. It will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
When Dice initially released a trailer for their upcoming shooter Battlefield 3; it teased a few impressive looking gameplay moments. They’ve recently put out extended cut that really shows off the horsepower of the Frostbite 2.0 engine.
The gameplay that was featured was obviously running off a PC (note the “WASD” keys during the interactive cutscene). It demonstrated the advancements made in Dice’s proprietary engine. It displayed some realistic looking particle and smoke effects. Of course the attention to detail on the soldiers and how they behave are just as jaw-dropping. Dice has also overhauled the lighting to give the environments some life. It’s a pretty surreal transition going from indoors to outdoors, as light-bloom effects force your eyes to adjust.
It’s pretty much been confirmed that Battlefield 3 will look godly on a PC that can handle it’s assumedly high-end specs. How it will look and handle on consoles remains to be seen. Battlefield 3 will be released this Fall on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Check out the explosive extended trailer below.
Dice and EA’s answer to the Call of Duty series is being released THIS year. Fall 2011 will see the release of the long awaited Battlefield 3. Dice isn’t dancing around the franchise’s namesake; this is NOT a continuation of Bad Company or some obscure Battlefield game made for consoles. Full-blown sequel, Battlefield 3, Fall 2011.
The new trailer only shows a few glimpses of the gameplay, but it’s enough for any gamer to get excited. Upgrades to the series’ Frostbite engine is immediately apparent so it’s needless to say it looks damn good. Dice has already confirmed a robust campaign as well as a cooperative component. How co-op works remains to be seen. Of course there’s the venerable multiplayer that players hold in such high regard.
Battlefield 3 is set to release on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC Fall 2011.
